Marina Buchberger

Born in Vienna in 1991, Marina Buchberger received recorder, violin, viola and baroque viola lessons from Hanns Christian Stekel, Klaus Peisteiner, Georg Hamann and Ulrike Engel until her studies. She completed her Bachelor studies at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität Wien (concert subject Early Music) with Michael Posch and at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (IGP) with Helge Stiegler and Theresia Köck, both with distinction. In the course of her Erasmus year at the CNSMD Lyon, she was able to work with Pierre Hamon
and learned about the form of diplomatic transcription of medieval music through Raphaël Picazos. She is currently writing her master’s thesis at the MUK Vienna (concert subject Early Music), selected works of the Codex Modena in diplomatic transcription.
Marina attended numerous master classes with Dan Laurin, Han Tol, Lorenzo Cavasanti, Michael Form, among others, and played in various chamber music ensembles at Styriate – Lunch Concerts, Entroterre Festival, Tra bianco e nero, Laus Polyphoniae – International Young Artist’s Presentation, Utrecht Early Music Festival – Fringe, among others.
